Badrit uit Indonesië stuurde me een kaart waarop een ceremonie staat afgebeeld die op Bali wordt uitgevoerd na de crematie. Badrit is een 2de jaars medisch student en woont op West-Java.

Kaart nr. 311 kwam van Katya uit Latchina in Rusland. Katya is een accountant en werkt de hele dag met getallen. Daarom vindt ze het heerlijk om na haar werk te sporten; fietsen en zwemmen doet ze graag.

310 Dresden - Frauenkirche

Ontvangen van Isabel uit Leipzig. Deze kerk werd in WOII ernstig beschadigd. Is weer opgebouwd, waarbij een aantal van de originele stenen op dezelfde plek gebruikt werden (de donkere stenen).
Verder leest Isabel ook graag en is net begonnen met "The Lord of the Rings" van Tolkien.

Received from Isabel from Leipzig. This church was severely damaged in WWII. Building it up again they used several original stones in the same place as they were before (the dark ones).
Isabel also loves reading and recently started "The Lord of the Rings" by Tolkien.

Zhou's Mansion.

In february 1939, Mr. Zhou Enlai and his wife Madame Deng Yingchao came to live in No. 50, Zengjiayan, hence the building was called Zhou's Mansion. It was also the office of part of the South Bureau of the Communist party and KMY officials. People of both parties worked side by side during the eight years of Anti-Japanese War.

Helemaal uit Thailand kwam deze mooie kaart (TH-228747) van Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok. Hij is me gestuurd door Jirason en zij plakte er ook een prachtig setje postzegels op; het is dat ik al genoeg verzamel, maar je zou er spontaan postzegels door gaan verzamelen. Wat een mooie plaatjes!

All the way from Thailand came this beautiful postcard (TH-228747) of Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok. It was sent to me by Jirason and she also put some great stamps on it! If I didn't collect enough already I would start collecting stamps right away ;-); what a beauties.
